Project Overview
Purist Automotive is Mauritius's most comprehensive automotive destination — a platform that brings together the island's finest car care products, detailing services, performance parts, body kits, alloy wheels, ceramic coatings, and paint protection films under one roof. Driven by a team of genuine car enthusiasts, the brand represents a new standard for automotive excellence in Mauritius, and Webmate was tasked with building a digital platform worthy of that ambition when the project was commissioned in 2020.
The platform operates across two distinct verticals — Automotive and Home & Leisure — with multiple international brand partnerships including HIKARI, STEK Automotive, Zvizzer, Fictech, Maxton Design, and Pipercross Filters. Building a coherent, navigable e-commerce architecture that could accommodate this breadth of product range — across multiple brands, multiple categories, and multiple service offerings — required careful planning of the information architecture, product taxonomy, and menu structure from the very beginning.
The e-commerce component of the platform, hosted on a dedicated shop subdomain at shop.puristautomotive.com, handles the full product catalogue with brand filtering, category navigation, and product variant management. The main site serves as the brand showcase — presenting Purist's professional detailing services, ceramic coating packages, and paint protection film offerings with the visual quality and depth of information that premium automotive service customers expect before making a significant purchase decision.
Slider Revolution was integrated for the immersive hero and brand presentation sequences that open the site, establishing the premium, performance-oriented visual tone immediately on arrival. The result is a platform that speaks directly to the discerning Mauritius car enthusiast — someone who knows what they want and expects the website of their chosen supplier to reflect the same standard of excellence they bring to their vehicle.
