Girlylux is a women's fashion and accessories e-commerce platform built for the Mauritius market, offering an extensive collection of gold-plated and silver-plated jewellery including earrings, necklaces, bracelets, rings, jewellery sets, wedding sets, belly piercings, brooches, hair accessories, and watches. Webmate originally built the platform in 2022 and carried out a comprehensive revamp in 2026 to modernise the shopping experience and scale the platform in line with the brand's growing product catalogue and customer base.

The platform serves both women's and men's jewellery categories, with a deep product hierarchy organised by material finish — gold-plated and silver-plated — and further subdivided by product type. Building and managing this taxonomy cleanly within WooCommerce required careful category architecture to ensure customers could navigate intuitively to exactly the style and material they were looking for, without being overwhelmed by the full breadth of the catalogue.

The 2026 revamp focused on three primary areas: visual modernisation of the storefront to reflect the feminine, premium aesthetic of the Girlylux brand; performance improvements to reduce load times on mobile, where the majority of the store's traffic originates; and an enhanced product page experience with improved imagery presentation, size and variant selection, and a streamlined add-to-cart flow designed to reduce abandonment and increase completed purchases.

Girlylux is a sister brand to Girlylux Ltd, operating as the digital retail arm of an established jewellery business in Mauritius. The platform reflects the brand's commitment to making quality plated jewellery accessible and beautifully presented for the Mauritian woman — and the 2026 revamp ensures the digital experience matches the quality of the product.
