Johaness Cruises is a premier private luxury speedboat experience operating in the turquoise lagoons of Mauritius, offering bespoke island cruises, snorkelling excursions, and maritime adventures for visitors and residents seeking an unforgettable experience on the water. As part of the wider Johannes Group portfolio, the brand occupies the luxury leisure segment of the hospitality group's offering — and the website built by Webmate in 2025 was designed to capture and communicate that experience with the same quality and immersion that clients find when they step aboard.
The visual brief for Johaness Cruises was uncompromising — the site needed to feel like the experience itself. Crystal-clear lagoon water, the sensation of speed and freedom — all conveyed through photography, visual hierarchy, and a digital design language borrowed from the world's finest luxury travel brands. Every section of the site was built to move the visitor from curiosity to desire to booking enquiry, with the ocean environment as the constant visual backdrop throughout.
WP Rocket was integrated for performance optimisation — essential for a site where high-resolution photography and video content are central to the experience, and where international tourists on mobile data connections need fast, reliable load times. The booking enquiry flow was structured to be as frictionless as possible, with a WhatsApp contact integration prominently placed to accommodate the communication preference of both local and international clients.
Johaness Cruises joins Johaness Spa & Coiffure as the second brand in the Johannes Group portfolio that Webmate has built and manages.
