Project Overview

Brighten Education is a Mauritius-based tertiary education centre offering a broad portfolio of internationally recognised qualifications and professional development courses. The institution's course offering spans OTHM accredited diplomas at Level 4 and Level 5 in Business Management and Information Technology, Focus Awarded qualifications including childcare and adult care certifications, and a range of non-awarded CPD courses for professional development. Webmate originally built the platform in 2019 and executed a comprehensive revamp in 2026 to modernise the site and better serve the institution's growing student population.

Education websites serve a fundamentally different conversion journey than commercial service sites. Prospective students are making decisions about their careers and qualifications — choices that are deeply personal and often require significant research before a commitment is made. The Brighten Education website was built to support this journey fully: clearly presenting each course and qualification, explaining the accreditation and recognition behind each programme, and making the pathway from interest to enrolment as clear and reassuring as possible.

The 2026 revamp addressed both the visual modernisation of the platform and the structural reorganisation of the course catalogue — which had grown significantly since the original 2019 build. The OTHM diplomas were elevated into a dedicated primary navigation section given their international recognition and career impact, while the CPD and awarded courses were organised into a clear secondary structure that allows students to navigate the full offering without confusion. Elementor Pro was used for the revamp to give the Brighten team the flexibility to add new courses and update content independently.

Brighten Education represents one of Webmate's longer client relationships in the education sector — a seven-year partnership from initial build through to revamp, reflecting the trust the institution places in Webmate as its digital partner. The platform continues to serve as the primary enrolment gateway for students across Mauritius seeking internationally recognised qualifications and professional development opportunities.
