Project Overview

BG Care Home is a modern residential care facility in Mauritius offering premium 24-hour assisted living with an exceptional range of facilities — 68 en-suite bedrooms each with a kitchenette and television, communal lounges equipped with HD screens, a swimming pool, a mini gym, an outdoor garden, and ample parking. When Webmate built the site in 2017, the brief was to create a digital presence that reflected the genuine quality and thoughtfulness that had gone into the design of the physical facility.

The core challenge of this project was helping families visualise the environment before they visited in person. Care home decisions are rarely made without a site visit, but the website plays a critical role in shortlisting — families who arrive at BG Care Home already feeling positive about what they have seen online are significantly more likely to proceed. The site was therefore built as a visual showcase first and foremost, with Slider Revolution used for the immersive facility photography sequences that greet visitors on arrival.

The facilities section of the site was given significant prominence — each major amenity presented with dedicated photography and a clear description of the benefit to residents. The swimming pool, gym, garden, communal lounges, and en-suite bedroom specification are all featured individually, giving families a thorough understanding of the day-to-day experience their loved one would have as a resident of BG Care Home.
